Monkeypox Cases Are Rising As World Health Organization Declares Global Emergency.
(MAGANews.Org) – The Biden administration may declare monkeypox a public health crisis as early as this week. According to reports, more than 35,000 cases have been reported in the US.
An unnamed source at the Washington Post stated the administration might also name a White House coordinator to supervise the situation to stop the monkeypox virus from becoming a national crisis.
According to the Washington Post source, the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) will also add 800,000 vaccines to combat the spread of the virus. The World Health Organization (WHO) announced on Saturday that monkeypox is now a global health crisis.

Joe Biden released a memo on Sunday saying that declaring an emergency could help agencies fight the spread of monkeypox, collect necessary information, and address the shortage of treatments and vaccines, slowing down the combative progress.
The WHO says the community most affected by monkeypox are gays and bisexuals. However, there have been two monkeypox infection cases involving children.
According to federal health officials, no other broader social groups of individuals are currently infected. Still, the White House says the response to control the spread of the virus is slow.
Department of Health and Human Services Secretary Xavier Becerra said they are moving as quickly as possible to get vaccines out to the public.
He continued by saying they want to get ahead of the virus and don’t want it to turn into another COVID-19 scenario, adding that the organization bases public health emergencies on data and science, not personal concerns or worries.
The symptoms of monkeypox include fever, pain, lesions, and other complications. WHO reports pregnant women and children can be more susceptible to the virus.
