(MAGANews.org) – According to the Daily Caller News Foundation, Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg filed a contempt action against former President Donald Trump, claiming that the president had broken the judge’s gag order.
Bragg accused Trump of 34 felonies last year for allegedly trying to conceal payments made to porn star Stormy Daniels to keep her quiet about an affair.

The former lawyer for Trump, Michael Cohen, asserts that he paid Daniels $130,000 at Trump’s request. President Trump has denied the affair claims and entered a not-guilty plea on all counts.
Acting Justice Juan Merchan previously imposed a gag order on Trump, preventing him from speaking publicly about any parties connected to the case, including family members.
Trump’s legal team has sought Merchan’s recusal from the case several times due to an “actual conflict” and an “unacceptable appearance of impropriety.”
Trump’s legal team asserted that Merchan’s daughter “has a direct financial interest in these proceedings by virtue of her ownership stake and leadership role” at a progressive political consulting firm.
In violation of the judge’s gag order, Bragg alleges that the former president referred to “two sleazebags” in a post on Truth Social.
The prosecution asserted that Daniels and Cohen, two possible witnesses, were mentioned in the post.
Bragg asked the judge to warn Trump that breaking the gag order may result in jail time in a court filing on Monday.
As a result of his recent remarks on social media, he asked Trump to face charges of contempt.
