USAG Merrick Garland Said During An Interview That He Will Prosecute President Trump, Pledging He Will Hold Him Accountable for January 6.
(MAGANews.Org) – During an interview with NBC’s Lester Holt, US Attorney General Merrick Garland said he is open to prosecuting President Trump for his actions on January 6.
The AG said during the interview that the Department of Justice (DOJ) pursues justice “without fear or favor.”
He said that anyone involved in January 6 events will be held criminally accountable, especially during lawful power transfer from one administration to another.
Holt asked Garland that if President Trump were to run again for president, would that change how he and the DOJ would move forward with prosecuting Trump. Garland responded, saying he would hold him criminally accountable regardless.

This isn’t the first time Garland claims he would be open to prosecuting the former president.

To this day, the January 6 Committee has failed to prove without a reasonable doubt that President Trump committed any crimes on January 6 at the US Capitol.
